Moonriver as a new round of Moonbeam evolution

Moonbeam was conceived by developers as a unified smart contract platform for Dapp developers. Ethereum was chosen as the basis. The implementation process over the past couple of years has shown outstanding results. In the summer of 2021, the time has come for a new round of Moonbeam development represented by Moonriver.

What do we know about Moonriver and where are the developers heading?

This is a useful thing for developers, in short. Moonriver provides devs a sandbox for testing the code before moving it to the Polkadot-based Moonbeam. It is based on Kusama as the best choice for such solutions.

The main advantage of testing that is provided to users is the ability to test the newly created code in the real economy, and not blindly. Priceless.

And the intention to make the project open to users is underlined by the large release of MOVR management tokens. IT provides a lot of freedom to make decisions on the further development of the project for the community.

If you delve into the technology itself and its capabilities, then everything here is inherited from Moonbeam. Developers are provided with full Ethereum compatibility with standard platform’s tools, DApps, and protocols.

Ethereum’s Web3 RPC network is mirrored here, including accounts, subscriptions, etc. The system works in such a way that the changes needed for the operation of Solidity smart contracts on the network are minimal. Any Ethereum-based project can be copied to Moonbeam. Devs suggest using any tools for deployment, like Truffle, or Remix.

The issue of the management token in such projects should stand apart. What about MOVR?

The token provides everything for gas metering in while implementing smart contracts. Also, it provides mechanisms for creating a decentralized infrastructure of nodes intended for the operation of the platform. And, of course, it’s all about free voting for all users for the right to make changes to the network.

And this is only a part of the opportunities, but it already looks impressive and clearly shows the high potential of the project.

A large-scale release of Moonbeam is scheduled for late 2021, while Moonriver can be tried out now. Anyone interested should try this urgently. Already today, the developers are collecting feedback from the first users, which are immediately used to improve Moonbeam and Moonriver. It’s nice to notice this.
